Privacy

Privacy policy

The short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third party code. What follows is the longer version, including your rights as a California resident.

On this website

What the site itself collects

Nothing that identifies you. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no advertising or tracking pixels, and loads no third party JavaScript of any kind. There is no login, no form, and no newsletter.

The site is served by a hosting provider which, like any web host, keeps standard server logs. Those typically record the IP address making the request, the page requested, a timestamp and the browser user agent. They are generated by the infrastructure for security and reliability, they are retained for a limited period, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.

On the phone

What happens when you call

When you call, you will normally tell us what treatment you are interested in and roughly where in the county you are. We use that to point you toward relevant providers. Your phone number is visible to us through ordinary caller identification, as it would be on any phone call.

If you ask us to put you in touch with a provider, we may pass on what you have told us so they can help you. That is the point of the call, but it is worth being explicit that it happens. Do not share detailed medical information with us. We are not clinicians, this line is not a medical service, and it is not covered by HIPAA. Keep clinical detail for the provider.

Calls may be recorded or monitored for quality. Where they are, California law requires that all parties consent, and you will be told at the start of the call.

Third parties

What we do not do

  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
  • We do not run advertising networks, retargeting or social media pixels on this site.
  • We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Providers we refer callers to may compensate us for the referral. That payment is between us and the provider. It does not involve selling your information to a data broker, and it does not change the rights set out below.

Your rights

California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, the right to request deletion of it, the right to request correction of inaccurate information, the right to opt out of sale or sharing, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is no opt out to exercise. To make any other request, call (707) 207-8167 and say what you are asking for. We may need to verify that the request comes from you, which for a phone-only service usually means confirming the number you called from and roughly when.

Changes

Updates to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will appear on this page and the review date at the foot will change. There is no mailing list to notify, because we do not keep one.
